It has been an annual tradition for delegates at Pico Group International Conferences to take time out to support local communities under the Pico Global Care in Action (PGCiA) initiative. Accordingly, during the 41st Pico Group International Conference in December 2024, about 300 Pico staff came together to support the Fuhong Society of Macau by joining a Portuguese tile-painting workshop and a series of fundraising activities. 

The Fuhong Society of Macau is a nonprofit social service organisation that provides a variety of services to persons with intellectual disabilities and those with mental illness in rehabilitation. Sponsored by PGCiA, a team of volunteers from the Society were on hand at the workshop to assist participants as they explored the traditional Macau-Portuguese art. Some of the finished tiles were donated to the Society for sale. In addition to the tile-painting workshop, we also organised a charity sale, the SL Chia Golf Challenge and its online fundraising campaign through the SimplyGiving platform to support the cause.

Ultimately, Pico staff enjoyed a rare opportunity to explore their artistic potential and learn about Macau’s unique culture – while also raising an impressive HK$120,000 for one of Macau’s most vital charities.
